Performing in The Phantom of the Opera at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2024 was nothing short of a dream come true. My first live Musical away from home!

Rehearsing and preparing for my role with the Captivate Theatre team was both challenging and thrilling. Bringing this iconic show to life on the Edinburgh Fringe was an unforgettable experience. The festival atmosphere, with its buzzing energy, made every moment special.

Opening night was electric. Stepping onto the stage, I could feel the anticipation from the audience, and the haunting score of The Phantom of the Opera set the perfect tone. The energy in the room was tangible, and it felt like we were all part of something truly magical. Moreover,  I still cannot get over the fact that I had friends flying over to watch the show.

Of course, there were challenges, but those moments only made the triumphs more rewarding. The audience’s response made every bit of hard work worthwhile. The venue's size allowed for intimacy with the audience making so many people cry, which perfectly reflects why I love live theater.

As we had a final bow, I was overwhelmed with gratitude. Performing at Fringe was a milestone in my career, surrounded by incredible talent and creativity. It’s an experience I’ll carry with me forever.

To anyone dreaming of performing at the Edinburgh Fringe—go for it! It’s a truly magical experience, and one I’ll never forget.
